Gucci is pleased to present the continuation of the most successful philanthropic partnership in the company’s history: the Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF. The annual global campaign, now in its fourth year, supports UNICEF programs for orphans and children affected by HIV/AIDS in sub – Saharan Africa.

This year, Creative Director Frida Giannini has designed a special version of Gucci’s new TATTOO HEART accessories collection devoted to UNICEF. Featuring a stylized heart tattoo, decorated with the most iconic Gucci symbols – the horsebit and the web – the product for UNICEF is distinguished by a range of white materials, from classic GG print to precious skins. The collection, which spans every accessory category, is youthful and modern, while also representing the best of Gucci’s Made-in-Italy luxury goods tradition.

The white TATTOO HEART COLLECTION to benefit UNICEF will be available in Gucci stores in over 20 countries worldwide from November 19, 2008 to January 31, 2009. During this time, Gucci will donate 25 percent of sales from this unique accessories and gift collection to UNICEF’s lifesaving programs. To support this initiative, the company has also launched a landmark advertising campaign, featuring award-winning musical artist Rihanna, who shares Gucci’s dedication to improving the lives of children worldwide. This major advertising initiative demonstrates Gucci’s continued and growing commitment to this vital humanitarian organization.

The annual Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF consistently supports education, healthcare, protection and clean water programs for orphans and children affected by HIV/AIDS in sub – Saharan Africa. This year’s campaign will again benefit programs for children in Malawi and Mozambique, where over one million children have been orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Together with UNICEF, Gucci is proud to continue its dedication to saving and improving the lives of thousands of children.
